Time to Tell New Stories
The artist pulps her childhood journals to create new paper.
The work considers the past as a malleable narrative, and memory as having the capacity to shape one’s interior realities.
When all we have are a series of harsh fictions that we tell ourselves about ourselves, the mind is a hostile architecture that we constantly reside in. How, then, might we dismantle the inhospitable voices, to build a more compassionate self with which to approach the exterior world?
