About
Michelle JN Lim is a Singaporean artist whose interest lies in exploring the impermanent nature of emotions, relationships, and identity. Her work touches on the beauty of the everyday, and often involves an element of change with the passage of time. She works in formats accessible to the public such as text, printed multiples, and participatory interventions.
Michelle received her BFA (Studio Art) from New York University in 2013. She has been part of the Affordable Art Fair’s Young Talent Programme and a winner of the Noise Singapore Award. She has exhibited at Coda Culture (2019), Mulan Gallery (2016), and The Substation (2016 & 2020), Singapore; Grimmuseum (2011), Berlin; and Rosenberg Gallery and The Commons (2013), New York.
She is also a writer and editor. For more information on her editorial work, please click here:
