This work comments on the violence with which lockers are procured in the ADM school system, and the nebulousness of the state of possessing one. The title of the work simultaneously addresses the viewer while pleading not to be noticed, creating an inevitable tension that goads the viewer into exploring the space within the locker.

 

In opening the locker, the viewer uncovers cards containing images of lockers screen-printed with thermo-sensitive ink, wedged in mounds of cement powder. The work pre-empts the public’s audacity to remove the work, and weaves this hypothetical action into a layered interaction that culminates in the image of the locker vanishing when exposed to human touch.
